About the 2016 California Water Data Challenge

In partnership with the White House Council on Environmental Quality, the State of California (acting through the State Water Resources Control Board, Department of Water Resources, Department of Fish and Wildlife, California Government Operations Agency and the California Department of Technology) is planning a Water Data Challenge to leverage information technology and available water information to support decisions around California water reliability and sustainability of resources. Inspired by the President’s commitment to improving open data and government, the Water Data Challenge supports collaboration and transparency and promotes creative solutions to solve our challenging problems.
